Arthur H. Hanson, III, M.D. received his undergraduate education from Tufts University and then received a masters degree from Harvard University. He did his residency at the George Washington Hospital School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He has practiced in Wilson since 1992. Outside interests include him being an avid jogger and enjoying being around his wife and three young daughters.

Dr. Suzanne Starkey was born and brought up in a farming community in Ohio and subsequently attended Ohio State University for college and medical school. She attended the Medical University Of South Carolina in Charleston,  where she became board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Starkey enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology, but especially adolescent gynecology, menopausal treatment, gynecologic, vaginal and laparoscopic surgery. She lives in Wilson with her family. She is an avid runner, swimmer and weightlifter. She has recently participated in a biathlon in San Diego, California. Dr.Starkey is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She attends Methodist Church.

Edward S. Brezina, M.D. graduated from the University of Southern California and subsequently received his medical degree from the University of Miami in Florida. He spent two years in the U.S. Navy as chief medical officer on a command and control ship. Subsequently he did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, West Virginia. He has practiced in Wilson since 1982. Outside interests include computer science, travel and enjoying time with his physician wife and four children.

Daniel P, Michalak, M.D did his undergraduate work at Villanova University and then achieved a master’s degree at the same institution in biochemistry. He graduated from Hahnemann Medical School and did his postgraduate residency at John Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Michalak is an avid water skier and tennis player and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

All of our physicians are board certified and are members of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. They are also members of other associations such as The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, The American Society for Reproductive Medicine, The American Medical Association and The North Carolina Medical Society.
